This page shows the most recent photos received from the NOAA polar orbiting satellites. The page is updated whenever a satellite passes over the receiving station in Round Rock, TX.
The NOAA satellites broadcast two photos side by side. The left side photo is typically visible light and is not very interesting when it is dark out. The right side photo is infrared and can be of interest when it is dark. The map outline seen on the photos not sent by the satellite, it is added by the WxToImg program used to decode the images.
There are currently three NOAA satellites orbiting, and each will be visible 2 to 4 times a day.
